Hospitality Committee

The Hospitality Committee arranges to have three meals prepared and delivered by Maynard Family Network members to families with new babies. This is a wonderful gift that welcomes the newest members of our community and provides some relief to their parents. This is also a great way to introduce the organization to families who are not already acquainted with the Maynard Family Network. If you or someone you know recently had a new baby, please contact the hospitality committee at  The Hospitality Committee is always looking for new chefs; if you would be willing to cook an occasional meal for new parents or lend a helping hand, let the hospitality committee know.  If you know a family in the community who needs a helping hand in general, please let the hospitality committee know.  For more information e-mail

The Maynard Family Network is excited to offer two playgroups this year. Children ages 0-4 are welcome at our weekly Play Time! From mid-October through April the Maynard Family Network Playgroup is held indoors at the Boys and Girls Club of Assabet Valley to let kids let off steam with free play while parents socialize. Bring toys, soft balls and small riding toys to share! (Please no toy weapons) During warm months, playgroup meets informally at local playgrounds and back yards.

New Baby Group (0-12 Months) - Fridays 9:15am-10:00am

Toddler Play Group (1-4 Years) - Fridays 10:00am - 11:00am

$5 per/week per family.

Future Classmates

Future Classmates events are always in the works - if you are already in a group, watch your email for more information to come. Future Classmates groups are age-specific informal groups based on the year your child will enter kindergarten (age 5 on Sept. 1 is the cutoff in Maynard).  They meet quarterly for some fun, with the goal of seeing a few familiar faces on the first day of kindergarten.  For more info on the Future Classmates events or to join a group, send an email to the applicable address below, including your name, your child's name and birthday, and contact info.

Story Time

The Maynard Family Network hosts an all ages story, song and craft time at the Maynard Library once a month (with some exceptions).

Each Story Time has a new, fun theme. During the school year (Sept –May), Story Time is held on a Saturday morning at 10:30am. During the summer months, the story time schedule varies, so please check the Events page for dates, times and locations.
